|May. 25th, 2011 09:43 am Mary's grand day out...|
On my way to London on a superfast Virgin.
Looking forward to a stroll in the sunshine when I get there, meeting my lovely friend S (with no LJ) over lunch, then an afternoon of yummy physics organised by the IOP's Environmental Physics Group (of which I am a member).
There is an early evening talk too, which I think anyone can turn up to for FREE : «Geoengineering the Climate: an overview and update».
Talk at 6.30pm but drinks from 6pm.
The blurb sounds very interesting, so well worth dropping in if you can get to Institute of Physics, 76 Portland Place, London W1B 1NT.
From about 7.30-8ish, until my 10pm train, I think I will be in the pub on Euston station — so if anyone fancies a pint, do come find me there. Though text first just to confirm.
It is going to be a tiring but fabby day :)6 comments - Leave a comment
Excellent, I'm leaving a talk at the British Library on upcoming technology, Genetics, Nanotech, etc. at around 8, looking forward to seeing you again.
